Building in Appalachia

From the Catskills to the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Great Smoky Mountains and Mississippi

What is Appalachia?

The Appalachian region is often mistakenly understood as limited to the area surrounding the Appalachian Mountains; however, it spans a broad and diverse geographic area encompassing all of West Virginia and portions of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Despite its rich natural resources and scenic landscapes, the region continues to face persistent economic challenges and disparities.

Woda Cooper is committed to supporting Appalachia through sustained investment, development, and employment across the region.
