Woda Cooper Company’s historic adaptive reuse to create 42-unit affordable multifamily apartments in downtown Cleveland was featured October 24, 2019, on WEWS TV ABC News 5. Reporter Kevin Barry covered the story (link>) Prospect Yard creating an affordable place to live in downtown Cleveland as part of the news show’s A Better Land series.

Prospect Yard is supported through federal and state historic housing tax credits issued by the National Park Service and Ohio Development Services Agency Agency, and Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) allocated by Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA).

The development would not have been made possible without that support and the investment by CREA, LLC  for LIHTCs and the federal historic credits to create equity for the $11 million development. Woda Cooper also appreciates OHFA for going above and beyond with a bridge loan and additional permanent debt funding, the City of Cleveland for contributing a HOME loan, and KeyBank for the construction loan. Prospect Yard would not have been possible without this valuable and appreciated support.
