Bruce Watts guides community engagement policies and practices for Woda Cooper Companies, ensuring the organization remains responsive to the needs of the diverse communities it serves. Since 2012, he has also served as Vice President of Development, focusing on creating high-quality affordable housing communities across Virginia, where he manages the company’s Norfolk office.
Before joining Woda Cooper, Bruce was Senior Commercial Development Manager for the City of Norfolk, Virginia, and previously held leadership roles with the Marriott Corporation. He is a graduate of Averett University and pursued graduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Bruce is actively involved in his community and profession, serving as a member of the Council for Urban Economic Development, a board member for the Norfolk Tourism Foundation, a lifetime member of the NAACP, and a member of the Hampton Roads Commercial Real Estate Association. He resides in Norfolk and has a college-age daughter, NeVear.
