Jeffrey and Lynette Woda Scholarship
A good education is one of the best roads to success.
Woda Cooper Companies is pleased to announce the Jeffrey and Lynette Woda Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to one student in the amount of $22,000 per year (for a maximum of four years) to attend Bethany College.
Bethany College is located on 1,300 beautiful acres in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, just one mile from Pennsylvania and five miles from Ohio. Bethany is served by Pittsburgh International Airport, just 45 minutes from campus. The College is located 39 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, 22 miles from Washington, Pa., and 14 miles from Wheeling.
The Bethany College campus community provides remarkable amounts of service to the people of this region.
Collectively, Bethany students, groups, clubs, organizations and academics contribute nearly 40,000 hours of service to nearly 100 different agencies or programs in and around our campus community each year. Our athletic teams, Greek organizations, student clubs, and academic groups all participate in these activities and have made significant contributions to community programs. All told, more than 80 percent of Bethany students volunteer on campus or in the community.
Students may enroll in a wide variety of faculty-sponsored and student initiated interdisciplinary majors cross departmental lines.
Bethany faculty and coaches are effective role models for students and for both providing and taking part in the provision of services, alongside their students. Administrators are also supportive of community service projects and willingly participate in service activities as well. This encourages students to seek out opportunities, such as Alternative Spring Break, that provide wonderful experiences for travel and service outside the boundaries of the United States.
Eligibility: Eligibility is limited to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Applicants reside in a Woda Cooper Community or have a parent or guardian who works for Woda Cooper Companies
