Amy C. Brown, CPA, Chief Financial Officer.  Ms. Brown has over 15 years of affordable housing and real estate accounting experience and currently holds active CPA licenses in Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.  Ms. Brown joined Woda in June 2007.  Ms. Brown assists in arranging and closing syndications and financings, prepares development related state housing agency reports, oversees the development and management accounting and monitors related due dates.  Ms. Brown is also active in the housing industry outside of the Woda office as former Treasurer of the Council for Rural Housing & Development of Ohio, Inc. (CRHDO), a member of the OHFA Compliance Committee, and also co-chairs the Accountants Alumni Advisory Board at Capital University.  Prior to joining Woda, Ms. Brown began her public accounting experience in the tax department of KPMG in Columbus, Ohio and in 1997 become one of the founding partners of Fentress, Brown, CPAs & Associates, a CPA firm specialized in the affordable housing industry.  Ms. Brown is a graduate of Capital University and also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Thomas S. Simons, Senior Vice President of Development.  Mr. Simons began his career with the Woda entities in 1991 supervising day to day construction operations. Mr. Simons moved to Washington, D.C. in 1993 to pursue a position with Century Stair, a leading manufacturer of custom residential and commercial stairs and rails. Mr. Simons returned “home” to Woda in 2002, to focus on land acquisition, housing tax credit applications and land development. Mr. Simons also oversees public relations and non-profit relations for the TWG entities. Mr. Simons attended Fairmont State College in West Virginia and received his BBA degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio.

P. Craig Patterson, Senior Vice President of Development.  Mr. Patterson joined Woda in 2002 and currently has responsibilities in land acquisition and development in a multi-state area.  Prior to joining Woda, Mr. Patterson held several Marketing and Product Development positions in Amway Corporation including a four year assignment as Marketing Director in Tokyo, Japan.  During his professional career, he also served eight years as a National Guard officer in the Army Corps of Engineers and several years on his local Chamber of Commerce executive board.  Mr. Patterson received his BA in Microbiology from Ohio State University and an MBA from Grand Valley State University.

Denis Blackburne, Senior Vice President of Development/Manager of Woda’s Savannah Office.  Mr. Blackburne brings a vast and diversified financial expertise to Woda having lived around the world working for both large public and privately owned firms such as Tetra Pak, DuPont and Dow Chemical. Prior to joining Woda, Mr. Blackburne was the CFO of Melaver, Inc., a national leader in the development of sustainable commercial real estate based out of Savannah. He led an award winning mixed income, mixed use project, Sustainable Fellwood; a truly Green affordable housing development. Mr. Blackburne received his BS in Business Administration from Geneva University, Switzerland and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional, a designation given by the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Mr. Blackburne serves on the boards of Southface Energy Institute, Atlanta, Historic Savannah Foundation and United Way, Savannah.

Andrew B. Cohen, Senior Vice President. Mr. Cohen joined Woda’s Mid-Atlantic office in 2011.  He has been in the real estate business for over 25 years and began concentrating in affordable housing, tax credit finance, and development over 10 years ago.  Mr. Cohen’s responsibilities at Woda include acquisitions and development in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.  Prior to joining Woda, Mr. Cohen worked at the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development in the positions of Low Income Housing Tax Credit Administrator and Manager, Multifamily Development Finance and Tax Credits.  Prior to public service, Mr. Cohen was a Senior Development Officer with Enterprise Community Investment originating, underwriting and closing low income housing tax credit investments in Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.  Earlier, Mr. Cohen was involved in the financial structuring of two large scale urban office/retail historic tax credit adaptive re-use projects along Baltimore’s waterfront and for 10 years was in commercial real estate appraising and consulting business in Maryland.  Mr. Cohen has a B.A. in English from Kenyon College and a Masters of Science in Finance from Loyola University, Maryland His professional designations include non-active membership in the Appraisal Institute, having achieved the MAI designation in 1996, real estate salesperson and general appraiser licenses in the State of Maryland.

Jen Zarins, Development Controller.  Mrs. Zarins joined The Woda Group, LLC in 2011. She is responsible for development and corporate accounting including cash management, assisting the CFO and Vice President with equity requests, and compiling documentation for carryover/cost certifications.  Prior to joining The Woda Group, LLC, Mrs. Zarins was the Chief Operating Officer of Fentress & Barnes, a CPA firm that specializes in affordable housing.   She has previously served as the Executive Coordinator for the Council for Rural Housing and Development of Ohio, Inc.  Mrs. Zarins received her B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting from Ohio Dominican University where she is active in the Alumni Association.

Kevin V. Bell, Vice President of Development/Manager of Woda’s Maryland Office.  Mr. Bell has been involved in affordable housing development since the late 1990’s. Mr. Bell completed four affordable housing developments on his own before joining Woda in 2008. Mr. Bell is a Maryland attorney. His practice focused on real estate law, general business law, and legislation. Mr. Bell received his J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland in 1994. Mr. Bell has been an educator, licensed realtor and business consultant. Mr. Bell has served on various state and community boards and task forces, and he currently serves as a member of the Baltimore Land Bank Task Force.

Tammy J. Stansbury, Vice President of Development/Manager of Woda’s Louisville Office.  Ms. Stansbury joined Woda in 2011. Prior to joining Woda, Ms. Stansbury spent twenty-five years with the Kentucky Housing Corporation, the state housing agency for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.   During her tenure at KHC she served in a number of capacities including Director of Housing, Finance and Construction where she managed all facets of affordable housing including tax credit allocations, development, construction, management, and compliance. Ms. Stansbury also served as KHC’s Business Development Officer and was responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with all KHC partners including developers, non-profits, investors, equity providers, local officials, and other housing entities and agencies across the Commonwealth. Ms. Stansbury was also responsible for creating new initiatives for KHC. Ms. Stansbury has extensive experience with Section 42 tax credits, tax-exempt bond financings, and numerous housing related loan and grant programs, such as HUD’s Mortgage Insurance Programs and the HOME Investment Partnership Program. Ms. Stansbury is a Certified Housing Development Finance Professional through the The National Development Council, a Certified Housing Inspector for HUD Programs, and a member of The Institute of Real Estate Management – REM 101 Successful Site Management. Ms. Stansbury was inducted into the Housing Finance Agency Hall of Fame in 2010.

Jennifer Ricci, Vice President.  Ms. Ricci is responsible for closing and processing construction loans, permanent loans, equity investments and other financings for Woda.  Ms. Ricci has six years of experience in real estate acquisitions, conventional loans closings, Rural Development, HUD and state housing agency financing transactions, and equity investor closings for affordable housing.  Since joining Woda, Ms. Ricci has also gained responsibilities related to pre-construction activities, such as environmental review and insurance compliance.  Ms. Ricci has worked extensively with numerous non-profits and community action agencies involved with the industry in obtaining information and appropriate due diligence for closings.  She also has experience in the formation and record keeping of business entities created specifically for affordable housing developments.  Ms. Ricci graduated in 1994 from Ohio University and received a paralegal certificate from Capital University Law School. Ms. Ricci came to work for Woda in 2009 after spending over five years working with Woda as an employee of Woda’s outside legal counsel.

Ian Maute, Vice President of Development.  Prior to joining Woda, Mr. Maute worked for The Schenk Company, Inc., a Columbus based commercial real estate firm.  Mr. Maute also worked for the Central Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Office and Industrial Property (NAIOP).  His duties included conducting a study which compared Columbus area municipalities based on cost and time required to complete varying types of development projects.  As Vice President for Woda, Mr. Maute works on project projections, tax credit applications, and obtaining project site related information. Mr. Maute received his B.S. (cum laude) in Business Administration from The Ohio State University in 2005, and is currently pursuing his MBA at Ohio State’s Fisher School of Business.

Frank R. Fugate, Acquisitions Manager.  Mr. Fugate has been involved in the acquisition of real estate since the mid 1980’s.  Mr. Fugate joined Woda in January of 2005. Prior to joining Woda, Mr. Fugate worked as both a broker and a principal in negotiating land purchases, commercial leases, and purchases and sales of commercial and residential properties while working for the State of Ohio, Wears Kahn McMenamy and the Galbreath Co. Mr. Fugate also worked for Nextel and other wireless carriers acquiring cell sites and easements. As Acquisitions Manager for Woda, Mr. Fugate works on site acquisitions, tax credit applications, and zoning and other pre-construction issues. Mr. Fugate graduated from Ohio University, Athens with a B.S. in Environmental Planning.

Glenn Schultz, Vice President.  Mr. Schultz started with Woda in July of 2006. Mr. Schultz is responsible for coordinating pre-construction permitting, utility service, site layout, surveying, geo-technical testing and site engineering services.  Mr. Schultz brings with him over 28 years of development construction experience from the U.S. Air Force where he served as Chief of Operations for the 911th Civil Engineering group in Pittsburgh, PA, where he was responsible for oversight of construction and upkeep of housing, service, building, and infrastructure upgrades and installation.

Jonathan P. Schlesselman, Vice President.  Mr. Schlesselamn is responsible for coordinating design, engineering and all entitlements typically working with architects, engineers and other professionals representing the owner.  Mr. Schlesselman has previous experience as a construction project engineer for Corna Kokosing, an owner’s construction manager for the former National City Bank and as an architectural designer for James A Monsul & Associates, Kekst Architects and Kelley & Gall Architects.  He was also a project coordinator for Victoria’s Secret Store Planning.  Mr. Schlesselman completed his MBA at Franklin University in 2005 and is a 1986 graduate of Bowling Green State University (BS Education, magna cum laude).

Barry Accountius, Vice President.  Mr. Accountius joined The Woda Group in November of 2009.  Mr. Accountius brings 20 years of experience in all facets of affordable housing including development, construction, administration and management.  Prior to joining Woda, Mr. Accountius enjoyed over eight years at the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) where he created, implemented, managed, and actively participated in OHFA’s site and design review process.  He also managed the CHDO program and crafted new environmental review processes for various state and federal funding streams.  Prior to OHFA, Mr. Accountius held positions with various affordable housing management and development companies.  Mr. Accountius achieved the designation as a Certified HOME Program Specialist from HUD, a Housing Development Finance Professional Certification from the National Development Council, has an Ohio Real Estate Sales Agents license, and earned an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy.

Zebulin Culver, Development Specialist.  Mr. Culver is responsible for organizing and reviewing tax credit applications, collecting, analyzing and presenting site data, and coordinating due diligence for loan closings.  Prior to joining Woda, Mr. Culver worked as the production manager for a technology company specializing in education software and teacher training manuals.  Mr. Culver received his B.A. in History from the University of Oregon and his M.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, Annapolis.

Gregory G. Mustric, Development Specialist/Public Relations Director.  Mr. Mustric joined The Woda Group in 2009. Prior to joining Woda, Mr. Mustric worked for The Cornell Group, LLC, a residential real estate investment firm where he researched and analyzed multiple real estate markets for company investments and helped develop operations strategies. A key focus for Mr. Mustric was building and strengthening customer relations with investors, contractors, and tenants.  As a Development Specialist, Mr. Mustric works with other development staff members on evaluating and researching potential development sites in multiple states, and coordinates and completes tax credit applications.  As Public Relations Director for Woda, Mr. Mustric creates press releases, manages the company’s online presence and researches marketing strategies to brand the company’s products and services.  Mr. Mustric received his B.A. in Communication from Wittenberg University in 2007.

Meghan N. Gajare, Assistant Vice President. Ms. Gajare joined The Woda Group, LLC, in 2011. Ms. Gajare works on underwriting and housing tax credit applications. Prior to joining The Woda Group, LLC, Ms. Gajare interned at Eaton Corporation in their Global Marketing division and Torrent Pharmaceuticals in their Finance division. Ms. Gajare received her B.A. in Economics from Carleton College in 2011.
