Douglas E. Weatherby, President. In January 1975, Mr. Weatherby resigned his position as State Architect with USDA Rural Development (formerly Farmers Home Administration) and entered into private practice as Douglas E. Weatherby, Architect. Later Mr. Weatherby joined with Mr. Goodman and Mr. Trick to form the firm of Weatherby Goodman Trick, Architects, Planners, Consultants, Inc. In January 1992, Mr. Goodman and Mr. Trick chose to leave the firm to develop a type of business more in harmony with their personal life and ambitions; at which time the name of the firm was changed to D.E. Weatherby & Associates, Inc. In January 2003, Mr. Weatherby and the staff of D.E. Weatherby & Associates, Inc. became full-time employees of PCI Design Group, Inc., which provides PCI with the experience and expertise developed over the last 28 years by Mr. Weatherby. Mr. Weatherby received his Bachelor of Architecture from The Ohio State University in 1966. Mr. Weatherby is LEED and Earthcraft certified. He is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the International Code Council, the Construction Specifications Institute, and the National Fire Protection Agency.
Raymond S. Basham, Jr., Architect. Mr. Basham has over 40 years of experience in architecture and prior to joining PCI worked as Project Manager / Project Architect at Wolfgang Doreschlag Ltd., RJ Palencar, UMA Architecture and Lusk Harkin Architects representing municipal, corporate and private clients in major projects. Mr. Basham also has corporate architecture experience in leading major expansion programs and prototype development for Hardee’s Food Systems and Metro Media Steak Houses. Mr. Basham also was a Principal of Architectural Resource Group, Inc. Mr. Basham graduated from The Ohio State University and has an Associates Degree from the Columbus Technical Institute.
Jeff Squire, Intern Architect and Designer. Mr. Squire is responsible for the design, drawing, and documentation support for many of PCI Design Group’s projects including housing units, buildings and site plans. Prior to joining PCI Design Group, Mr. Squire worked as a graduate teaching associate at the Knowlton School of Architecture developing lecture content and providing instruction for the History of Western Architecture sequence. Mr. Squire received his Bachelor of Science in Cinema Production and Music from Ithaca College and his Master of Architecture from the Knowlton School of Architecture at the Ohio State University.
Charles S. Garvick, P.E., Vice President. Mr. Garvick is the owner of Chadan Engineering, Inc. located in Moundsville, West Virginia. The firm engages in site planning, utilities and construction inspection for several federally funded housing projections; building renovation projects for local government; several sewer, water, and subdivision projects; design and supervision of large commercial buildings; design of large sanitary landfill and acid neutralization facilities; approximately 2100 land surveys; approximately 300 residential and commercial structural inspections. Mr. Garvick received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1971 from the West Virginia University.
