Jeffrey L. Phillips, Senior Vice President/Director of Field Operations.  Mr. Phillips has over 15 years experience in the construction and manufacturing industry.  Mr. Phillips joined WCI in 2005.  Mr. Phillips primary responsibility is to provide guidance, oversight, and leadership of the day-to-day field activities for WCI.  Prior to joining the WCI construction team, Mr. Phillips served as the Controller for American Heritage Homes Corp, a central Ohio custom home builder and developer. Prior to that, he held key accounting management positions for various manufacturing and retail operations. Mr. Phillips received his B.S. in Accounting from Franklin University in 1995.

Arthur E. Smith, Vice President/Senior Project Coordinator.  Mr. Smith is responsible for all construction project estimating, budgeting and all aspects of project buy out and procurement of all construction project suppliers and subcontractors.  Mr. Smith started his career in construction for his father’s commercial construction company and has gone on to a successful construction management career after a short career in commercial banking with Indiana National Bank. Mr. Smith entered construction management as general manager of an affordable housing multifamily and home builder in Indiana and was later named Vice President and General Manager.  Mr. Smith joined Sterling Construction of Indiana, Inc., Mishawaka, IN and was named Director of Production in 2001.  The Sterling Group develops, constructs, acquires and manages investment quality real estate, specializing in multi-family apartment homes, senior communities and self-storage facilities.   Most recently Mr. Smith was Procurement Manager with WPM Construction, Inc. in northwest Indiana.  WPM Construction concentrates on high density construction including hotels, condominiums, multi-family dwellings and retail establishments.  Mr. Smith attended Purdue University and Indiana Purdue University, Indianapolis where he majored in Public and Environmental Affairs.   Mr. Smith served on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Builders association and was elected president of the Greater Lafayette Builders Association in 1994. 

Dan Kazee, Vice President.  Mr. Kazee is responsible for the day-to-day communication and management of subcontractors.  He is involved in estimating, job costing, budgeting and subcontracting for all construction projects. Mr. Kazee has over 11 years of experience in the construction and finance industry.  Mr. Kazee joined WCI in 2006.  Prior to joining WCI, he worked for Elford Development Ltd. Mr. Kazee received his Associates Degree from Bliss College in 1990.

Jim Malthaner, Director of Field Operations.  Mr. Malthaner has over 30 years experience in the construction and manufacturing industry.  Mr. Malthaner joined WCI in 2010, and has the primary responsibility to provide guidance, oversight, and leadership of the day-to-day field activities for WCI.  Mr. Malthaner has a diverse background ranging from residential, commercial, to industrial construction. Mr. Malthaner received his B.S. in Construction Management from Michigan State University in 1991.

Joseph DiCesare, Director of Field Operations. Mr. DiCesare brings 17 years of construction experience to Woda Construction, Inc.  His primary responsibilities are to provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to the day to day field activities of WCI. His construction background is diverse with specific experience in medical and general office, skilled care facilities, retail, multifamily, industrial, and recreational projects.  Mr. DiCesare received his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 1994.

Susan Milner, CPA, Controller.  Ms. Milner is responsible for all accounting of WCI. Ms. Milner joined WCI in October, 2009 and has 29 years experience in Accounting and Finance with the last 15 years in the construction industry.  After graduating with a BSBA from The Ohio State University, she received her CPA in 1983 while in the employ of Ernst & Whinney in Columbus, Ohio.  Ms. Milner served as Chief Financial Officer for Nelson Homes, Inc., a single family scattered lot builder.  Most currently she served as a financial consultant for nine years and has experience with commercial and highway construction, single family and multi-family residential construction, production and custom construction and land development.
