Jeffrey J. Woda is the founder and one of the principals of Woda and Woda Construction, Inc., and a director and officer of Woda Management & Real Estate, LLC. Mr. Woda, in conjunction with Mr. Cooper, oversees all day-to-day operations and is very involved with all aspects of each entity’s operation.
Mr. Woda has been involved in the construction and housing business for the majority of his life. Mr. Woda “grew up” in the construction business working for his father’s business, Beverly Builders. Beverly Builders built over 100 single family homes and constructed several other multi-family and commercial projects. Mr. Woda received his B.A. from Bethany College in 1987. After Bethany, Mr. Woda was employed by the Charleston, WV, office of Ernst & Young, and received his certification as a CPA in 1989. In 1990, Mr. Woda returned to the Wheeling, WV area, and founded Woda Construction, Inc. Jeffrey J. Woda is past President of the Council for Rural Housing and Development of Ohio, and is past President and was a founding board member of the Ohio Housing Council. Recently, Mr. Woda has been appointed to the Ohio Housing Trust Fund Advisory Committee by the Ohio Governor. Mr. Woda is a board member of the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Woda served on the Ohio Housing Finance Agency Housing Credit Advisory Committee for tax credit qualified allocation plans, and is a frequent speaker at affordable housing conferences.
David Cooper, Jr. is a principal of Woda and Woda Construction, Inc., and a director and officer of Woda Management & Real Estate, LLC. Mr. Cooper, in conjunction with Mr. Woda, oversees all day-to-day operations and is involved with all aspects of each entity’s operation. Mr. Cooper was previously the Director of Acquisitions and Corporate Counsel for Alliance Holdings, Inc., which is a privately held investment company, and prior to that, Mr. Cooper was a Partner in the corporate group of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP. At Squire Sanders, Mr. Cooper worked with syndicators, lenders, and developers on hundreds of tax credit and other affordable housing transactions over a 15 year period. Mr. Cooper also has extensive syndication, private equity, structured and conventional finance, and merger and acquisition experience. Mr. Cooper has served on the boards of directors of several manufacturing, service, and financial companies, as well as serving as an officer and director of various charitable organizations. Mr. Cooper received his B.A. (magna cum laude) from Wittenberg University in 1983, and his J.D. from the University of California - Hastings College of the Law in 1986. Mr. Cooper currently serves as the past Chair of the Housing Credit Group of the National Association of Home Builders.
